County Council Budget - Have Your Say
Thursday, 02 September 2010 08:12

cuttsNottinghamshire County Council’s Big Budget Conversation

The Conservative administration at Nottinghamshire County Council needs to make £69 million of savings next year. Costs are going up, demand for services to vulnerable children and adults is going up and the money we receive from Government is going down.

We aim to achieve £17 million of these savings by reducing administration and management costs and finding better ways of using resources. The remaining £52 million involves making difficult choices about services and we need to know your views.

By visiting the Nottinghamshire County Council website you can suggest your own budget for the council using our Budget Simulator. You can take part in the Big Budget Conversation by joining our online discussion forums or visiting special events in libraries throughout the county between 13th and 22nd September. You can even organise your own budget meeting by downloading a free toolkit from our website and letting us know the results.
