County Council Budget - Have Your Say |
|
Thursday, 02 September 2010 08:12 |
Nottinghamshire County Council’s Big Budget Conversation
The Conservative administration at Nottinghamshire County Council needs to make £69 million of savings next year. Costs are going up, demand for services to vulnerable children and adults is going up and the money we receive from Government is going down.
We aim to achieve £17 million of these savings by reducing administration and management costs and finding better ways of using resources. The remaining £52 million involves making difficult choices about services and we need to know your views.
By visiting the Nottinghamshire County Council website you can suggest your own budget for the council using our Budget Simulator. You can take part in the Big Budget Conversation by joining our online discussion forums or visiting special events in libraries throughout the county between 13th and 22nd September. You can even organise your own budget meeting by downloading a free toolkit from our website and letting us know the results.

City Event - Antiques Valuation Day |
|
Sunday, 15 August 2010 07:12 |
|
Dear Friend,
ANTIQUES VALUATION DAY
with BBCtv’s CHARLES HANSON and KATE BLISS
Wednesday 29th September The Carriage Hall – Perkins – Plumtree
Our Antiques Valuation Day is open to all with three special events occurring throughout the day including lunch at the prestige venue of Perkins Carriage Hall provides a unique opportunity to have your antiques valued throughout the day by two well-known experts. Whilst Charles Hanson is well known locally and on Bargain Hunt and Flog It! with Kate Bliss, Kate is also a presenter on BBCtv’s Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is. Encountering antiques from an early age whilst helping in her father’s saleroom in Herefordshire, she is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and became the youngest shareholder and auctioneer at a leading auction house. After gaining over seven years experience on the rostrum, Kate specialised in jewellery and silver and became a fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. Kate currently combines regular television appearances with running her own Fine Art Valuation business and is delighted to be assisting Charles Hanson as his jewellery and silver consultant. This is Kate’s first non-televised appearance in Nottinghamshire.
Please do support this event.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Carriage Hall.
